Get to know our crew members:

Stroke seat - Henry Poor - 15 April 1989
6ft 5in / 92kg


Henry has had a successful rowing career. He raced for Takapuna Grammar and won the U17 and U18 singles titles at the same regatta in 2007. From there he went on to represent New Zealand at the Junior World Championships in Beijing where he placed a credible fourth. This year he was in a partnership with Bradley Jowitt and they won the Senior 2x, 4x and 8+ at the National Rowing Championships in Karapiro 2012. Henry was also a major part of the last West End crew that were finalists at Henley in 2010. He was the stroke seat also in the Thames Challenge Cup 8+ (pictured).








3 seat - Bradley Jowitt - 5 April 1981
6ft 5in / 98kg

Brad is the most senior member of the crew and has been racing for 8 years. He has a heap of Senior titles in the 2x, 4x, and 8+ also getting the triple with Henry this year. He also has raced for Samoa at the World Rowing Championships at Karapiro in 2010. He is racing this year to try and qualify for the London Olympic Games and leaves earlier than the rest of the crew to attempt this. He was the powerhouse of the last Henley crew in 2010 and was crucial to the organisation of the trip.







2 seat - Nicholas Pusinelli - 7 June 1986
6ft 3in / 95kg

Nick has had the most experience of the crew, having rowed for the last 12 years. He has titles in the Senior 2- and 8+ and has been part of many medal winning performances. He has represented New Zealand in the Mens 8+ at the Junior, Under 23 and Elite World Rowing Championships in 2004, 2008 and 2011. He also raced the Elite 2- at the World Cup in 2011. As a member of the RPC Nick has learned a few training tactics and is in charge of the rigorous training schedule for the crew.








Bow seat - Joseph Nihotte - 7 March 1993
6ft 4in / 86kg

Joe is the youngest and most enthusiastic member of the quad. He is always asking for more work in the core sessions. He was in the Senior 8+ which placed 2nd at last year's National Championships and a key member of both the Senior 4x and the 8+ winning crews at the 2012 Nationals. Joe is mostly in charge of talking to the older ladies into giving us coins for our fundraising.
